ORPHANS MEET

MORRINSVILLE CLUB From Our Own Correspondent MORRINSVILLE, Friday. More than 60 members attended the opening meeting of the Morrinsville Orphans’ Club season. The president, Bro. A. H. J. Wyatt, welcomed Bro. President S. Lewis, and a party from the Cambridge Club, and Bro. VicePresident W. Marks, of the Devonport Club. Owing to Te Aroha Orphans’ Club holding its opening on the same evening, there were no representatives from Te Aroha, as on. previous occasions. Selections were given by an orchestra consisting of Bros. A. Gifford (piano), M. Young (saxophone), D. Poffke (banjo), B. Becker and N. Bryant (violins), and A. Ryan and E. Gummer (cornets). Solos were sung by Bros. L. Echlin, F. N. Stringfield, J. R. Cocks. W. Marks and A. Swenson, and by Bro. D. Wilson in full Highland costume. Items were also given by Bro. H. D. Hastie and Bros., J. S. Caulfield and W. Hector.
