FIRE DAMAGES HOUSE

Slight damage was done to the walls and a bathroom when fire broke out in an eight-roomed house in Arney Crescent, Remuera, at about nine o’clock this morning. The Remuera and Parnell brigades attended and quickly suppressed the outbreak, which is attributed to some rubbish becoming ignited in the basement. Only slight damage was done to the house, which is owned by Mrs. Peters and occupied by Mr. T. H. Ayson.
