BIRTHDAY PARTY 7

MOUNT EDEN FUNCTION Mrs. S. Cole, Halston Road, Mount Eden, was hostess to an afternoon reception on Thursday in honour of her birthday. The reception hall and drawing-room had been beautifully decorated with golden chrysanthemums and pot plants. Cards, competitions and music were much enjoyed, and a dainty afternoon tea was served. The winners for the afternoon were Airs. McAneny and Mrs. Robertson (cards). Mrs. Radford and Mrs. Bert Swinburn (competitions). Mrs. Cole received her guests wearing a smart frock of putty crepe do chine, with lloral trimmings. Those present were Mrs. McAneny, Mrs. J. Erikson. Mrs. B. Swinburn. Airs. J. Hogg. Mrs. Radford. Airs. B. Morrison, Mrs. Robertson. Mrs. Daniels and Airs. Richardson.
