PRINCE EDWARD THEATRE

In the world of photoplay making the unusual becomes the usual order of things, so varied are the effects to be obtained and so ingenious the methods of obtaining them. Especially was this true of “Broadway,” the Universal super-film of the sensational New Y'ork stage success which is now at the Prince Edward Theatre. Because of the magnitude of the picture, which embraces both the intensely dramatic action of the play and tremendous spectacle effects such as could be achieved only before! the camera, “Broadway,” which features Glenn Try on, Evelyn Brent and Merna Kennedy at the head of a superlative cast, was especially notable for the resource and ingenuity displayed in filming it. Appearing in support of the featured players are Thomas E. Jackson as Dan McCorn and Paul Porcasi as Nick Vedis, both of whom created in the New York stage production the roles which they play in the picture.
