We all know what happened when the lion met the unicorn, but an alligator v. bulldog contest at weight-for-age is a little beyond us. These quaint mascots were displayed in Jamaica last month at the cricket test match between the touring M.C.C. team and the West Indies. George Headley, who is shown in this picture with the West Indies mascot, a toy alligator, scored four centuries in the Tests against the M.C.C., including a double century in the final Test (See article on this page.)
