NO NEED FOR GLOOM
BRITAIN SEES GOOD TRADE MARKET IN DOMINION LOYALTY TO HOMELAND Reed. 12.50 p.m. LONDON', Wed. The Department of Overseas Trade i has issued Mr. Lambie’s report on i economic conditions in New Zealand, i It says today's conditions do not furnish any ground for pessimism aa I the Dominion is based on the sure j foundation of her primary industries i and her unfaltering loyalty to British ! trade. i She constitutes the most sympathetic market in the world for the i ~ale of British manufactures, he says. ! If British goods of a type which ap- | peals to their judgment are offered at only a reasonably competitive price they will almost certainly be preferred to the goods of other origin. “New Zealand at present seems to lie on the crest of a wave of prosperity and desires nothing more than to help the Mother Country in trade i as in all else.” he goes on. “and is a market worthy of Britain's closest attention.”
