POSITION IN EAST AFRICA TO BE DISCUSSED COMMITTEE OF PARLIAMENT British Official Wireless Reed. 11.50 a.m. RUGBY, Wednesday. The Under-Secretary for Colonies, Dr. Shiels, said in the Commons it was proposed to present to Parliament on June 20 the conclusions of the Government regarding closer union in East Africa. The Secretary for Colonies would move in the House of Lords for the appointment of a joint committee of both Houses to consider the Government proposals.
