POLICE HAVE LIVELY TIME IN INDIA WOMAN LEADER ARRESTED Reed. 11.50 a.m. DELHI, Wed. The campaign for the resistance of the salt-tax laws took a serious turn at Dharasna, when a mob of 2,000 who stormed the salt depot, were charged by the police. Over 200 were injured and the principal leaders, including airs. Sarojini Naidu, tile Nationalist leader, and Manilal, Gandhi’s second son, were arrested. Pour hundred police took part in a raid on the Bombay Congress headquarters and arrested the president and all the officials and staff. When those arrested were being taken to the police station, a crowd of some thousands surrounded the lorry and stoned the police, who had to fight their way out.
