1 0 A small fire occurred in the radio y room on the first floor of the chief post office building shortly after five . o’clock last evening - , but was sup1, pressed by a hand extinguisher be- ; fore the arrival of the City Fire pv*i- \ gade. The insulating ribbon on the . . lead-in wires connected with the ret ceiving apparatus on the tabje was 1 destroyed, and the under-side 'of the table was slightly charred. Repairs t were quickly made and after a few 3 minutes the station was again in operation.
