RIMUTAKA SOLD

DISPOSAL OF OLD STEAMERS The latest sale of the old steamers belonging to companies which run services between England and New Zealand is that of the Rimutaka. This liner belonged to the New Zealand Shipping Company, and had served 30 years on the Home service. She is one of the oldest of the com pany’s steamers, and as is the in other companies with vessels on this route, is being replaced by more up-to-date craft. She is a twin-screw steamer of 8,997 tons gross register, and was built in 1900 by, W. Dennv and Bros Dumbarton. Her last visit here was in August last year.
