Second Social Gathering of Dunedin Club
Flag Bridge and Dancing A most enjoyable time was spent last evening by the members end their friends, of the Dunedin Club, when they held a carnival niaht in the Auckland Jewish Social Clubs rooms. fTUIE dance room was gay with mtlti- -*■ coloured streamers and shaded lights and excellent music was supplied by the Kit Kat Orchestra. Tables were arranged in the lounge lor flag bridge, the winners being Mrs. Foord, Mrs. Kay and Miss Aitchisoii. The host and hostess for the evening were Mr. and Mrs. J. Oliver. During the evening favours vrere distributed among the dancers. The spot waltz was won by Mis* Munro-Clark and Mr. E. C. Cutter.. Mrs. Oliver received the guests wearing a frock of mist blue silk lace with u paisley’ shawl. Among those present were: Mrs. Gow. wearing a frock of embossed georgette and gold embroiderer tulle; Mrs. Faulkner, black georgette and lace: Mrs. Ray. powder blue beaded georgette; Mrs. Wright, black lace and oriental shawl; Mrs. Reed, mist blue net and taffeta: Mrs. A. W. Smith, eau de nil lace frock: Mrs. Driscoll, black georgette frock and silver sequined bridge coat; Mrs. Long, black georgette ar.d lace: Mrs. Eccles, floral ninon in shades of pink: Mrs. J. Thompson, leaf green georgette; Mrs. Murray, floral crepe da chine; Mrs. Crook, black lace frock relieved with diamente: Mrs. Cornish flounced frock of black and floral lacs with hip bow of rose pink taffeta; Mr*, W. McGruer, cardinal red satin; Mrs. E. A. Allan, embossed blue georgette and floral lame coatee; Mrs. Hamilton, black and green figured chiffon velvet; Mrs, Dodd, frock of black beaded georgette. Mrs. Ivan Oliver (Dunedin), in a black lace and georgette frock; Mrs. Robertson, black georgette; Mrs. Hentie rson Smith, jade green lace; Mrs. Munro-Clark, turquoise georgette and silver lace; Mrs. Mount, black and green patterned ring velvet: Mrs. Frazer, fl >r«| ring velvet and tulle; Mrs. Dkkenwn, black lace frock; Mrs. Gaudin. black georgette with black embroidered shawl; Airs.
