LOW INCOMES TRIM STATE ACCOUNTS IN N.S.W. £2,000,000 SAVED ON SALARIES Reed. 10.15 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. In the Legislative Assembly the State Treasurer, Mr. B. S. Stevens, said the diminution in the taxable income in this State for the coming year would amount to 22 per cent, while the savings, including the reduction in public servants’ salaries, would aggregate £2,067,000.
