BAD QUALITY BUTTER
VICTORIAN FACTORIES INDICTED Kecd. 10.15 a.m. MELBOURNE, Today. The Commonwealth Supervisor of Dairy Exports, Mr. Carroll, told a conference of Victorian dairy factory managers that the quality of Victorian butter during the past three years was disastrous. Butter sent to London was found to contain excess moisture, he said, and considerable damage had been done to the prestige of Australian butter abroad. The “butter conscience” was entirely lacking among factory managers.
