CRASHED OVER CLIFF
CAR FALLS INTO PICNIC AND KILLS GIRL SEVEN OTHERS INJURED Reed. 9.5 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. A pleasure motor-car, which was parked at the top of the Bulli Pass, moved of its own accord and fell hundreds of feet among a party of children who were picnicking at the foot of the cliff. A girl of 15 years was killed instantly, and seven others, ranging in age from 10 to 14 years, were more or less seriously injured. HAUNTED TOWER FALLS THIRTEEN VILLAGERS KILLED FEARED EVIL SPIRITS Reed. 9.30 a.m. CONSTANTINOPLE, Monday. An ancient tower near Smyrna, which superstitious villagers believed was haunted by evil spirits, collapsed, burying a party of women who were resting at noonday from their work in the opium fields. Thirteen were killed and eight seriously injured.
