RAIN IN DUNEDIN

MAY END POWER SHORTAGE Press Association DUNEDIN, Monday. There are signs of the breaking of the dry spell in Dunedin. After another day of brilliant sunshine there was a welcome change in conditions tonight and steady rain set in about 10.30 p.m. A telephone message also indicated that it was raining heavily at Waipori. As there has been a sudden drop in the barometer, indications are that the rain may continue long enough to enable the removal of the present restrictions upon the users of electric power.
