A pedestrian, Mrs. Hayes, of Hikutaia, was struck by a motor-car yesterday afternoon, and was taken to the Thames Hospital in an unconscious condition. The car, owned by Fleming and Son, and driven by Mr. Bramley, when nearing Hikutaia, swerved in order to avoid Mrs. Hayes, but struck her and then went over the bank near the school-house. She was knocked unconscious, and after receiving attention from Dr. Davies, of Paeroa, was removed to the Thames Hospital. Two motor-cars collided on Puke Road, Paeroa, yesterday afternoon.
