SOCCER REFEREES
JUNIOR BRANCH MEETS A meeting of members of the junior branch of the Association Football Referees' Association was held last evening in the Y.M.C.A. The chairman, Mr. L. J. Check, presided and Mr. J. Ball, treasurer of the Referees’ Association, was in attendance. Mr. F. R. Wilson, the secretary of the junior branch, read a paper on thw laws of Association football. The laws of the game were analysed in deta*; and were productive of many quest #• by the members present, all of which were suitably answered by the lecturer The junior branch of the association it is hoped, will be a reservoir from which will be drawn capable referees in the near future. A special chart was provided by the lecturer and proved very useful as a factor in demonstrating the laws of the game. A most interesting meeting closed with a hearty vote of thanks to the lecturer. Mr. L. J. Check will lecture next week on the definition of terms.
