BOY RUN OVER
ACCIDENT AFTER RACES Press Association BLENHEIM, Toda>'.* A lad. Richard Reardon, a son of Mr. P. Reardon, the well-known trainer, met with a painful accident on Saturday afternoon, when traffic was reluming to Blenheim from the races at the Waterlea racecourse. A taxi-cab had taken a party from the racecourse to town, returning for a second load when Reardon appeared suddenly from between a long string of cars proceeding toward Blenheim, and ran right in front of the taxi. He was thrown off his feet and fell between the wheels of the car, which passed over him. He crawled out from the rear of the vehicle, and the driver took him to Wairau Hospital. He was found to be suffering from head injuries and abrasions.
