GUNS AND SHIPS TALK, MUSSOLINI SAYS MEET AGGRESSORS HALF WAY ROME, Saturday. The Prime Minister of Italy, Signor Mussolini, addressed a gathering of Fascists at Florence. He said: “Italy’s friendship is precious, but her enmity is hard. There is great ignorance about us abroad. They think we are a minor people, but we are a nation of 40,000,000. “They think we are governed by tyranny, but it is the Italian people; who govern the Italian people and are capable of great sacrifices. More important than my speech today are big guns and machine-guns. Italy's new naval programme shall be carried out exactly as it was laid down. “The Fascist will is a will of iron There are people who think they can isolate Italy and who w-ould not be averse from starting war against the Italian people even through the terriI tory of a third Power.
