NURSES ROBBED

CASH TAKEN FROM ROOM BELONGINGS THROWN ABOUT Cash to the value of £1 as stolen from a room occupied by two nurses at the Nurses’ Home attached to tne St. Helen’s Hospital, over the weekend. The two nurses were Miss C. tractfield and Miss M. Spense. They lett their room at 3 o’clock on Friday aftei - noon to go on duty, and when they returned, they found that the room naa been thoroughly ransacked. Drawers were pulled out and clothing thrown about. It is thought that entry was gained by the window. Several thefts have been reported from the Nurses’ Home, £4 being stolen during a recent attempt.
