POPULARITY CAMPAIGN GETS BIG START FIRST DAY
Organising Department has Busy Day Explaining Details of Contest to Interested Readers. HOW popular are you? How popular is your best friend? Almost before the ink was dry on THE SUN on Saturday, scores of people were putting- these questions to themselves, and this morning the Campaign Department was busy with people desiring to test these questions by entering THE SUN Great Popularity Competition.
Thera are prizes valued at more | than £5,000 to be won. It is merely | „ question of how many friends you 1 nave who are willing to vote for you j and to work on your behalf. If you want a prize for yourself, vote for yourself and get. your friend 3 to vote tot you. If you want a prize for your best friend, vote for him; it is simple, just as simple as it sounds. THREE COUPONS —FIRST SIMPLE STEP IN COMPETITION As announced on Saturday, the Competition will open on May 24, howler, anyone desiring to get an early start, may send in their name immediately and begin accumulating and amassing votes The principal prizes include five General Motors Cars headed by a Buick; a Villa site and materials in Winstone Park: Estate, and many other valuable rewards, which are detailed in another page of this issue. These prizes will be awarded to nominees havpig the largest number of votes at Ve close of the Competition on August 2 , 1930. Opposite the full-page announcement on page 3 of this paper will be found three Coupons—CUT THEM OUT, THEY ARE VALUABLE. The flrst coupon of mention is the Nomination Coupon. You may nominate vourself or you may nominate any friend you choose. This Nomination blank will entitle the Contestant to 5,000 votes and only the first one received in The Sun Office will be counted. Each Contestant receives ihis credit but ONCE only. The Second Coupon is a daily vote coupon and will entitle the Contestant to 50 votes. Contestants may secure as
many of these daily coupons as possible —they will all be counted. The Third Coupon is by far the most valuable, being the first Subscription counted. This coupon, accompanied with the first yearly subscription, will entitle the contestant to 50,000 votes; this is in addition to the regular votes allowed on the subscription. This First subscription coupon may only be used once by each Contestant. Call at the office. All those who are interested in the Campaign are requested to call at the Campaign Department of The Sun Office, where the Campaign Manager or his representatives will be only too glad to give the fullest explanation regarding all matters of the Campaign, and render all assistance possible. Free Receipt. Books will be given to Contestants and every facility will be extended to help competitors to win one of the prizes. SPECIAL VOTE OFFER During the first period of the Campaign ending at 12 Noon on Saturday, June 21, there will be a special bonus ballot of 500,000 votes for every total of £lO in subscription money turned in by Contestants. This special vote bonus will be issued to Contestants as many times during the first period as their subscription money equals £lO. These bonus votes will be over and above the regular votes allotted on each subscription. This will positively be the greatest vote offer of : the Competition. Never again will i subscriptions count as much as they ido now and up until June 21.
