SCHOOL GOLDEN JUBILEE
From Our Own Correspondent TE AW AMU TIT, Sunday. The golden jubilee celebrations of Te Rore School took place on Friday when there was a large attendance, despite the unfavourable weather. Mr. W. J. Allcock, who has been chairman for the past 21 years, presided. Among the speakers were Messrs. W. Lee Martin, M.P. for Raglan; D. Stewart Reid, C. Munro, school inspector; S. B. Sims and J. Primrose, members of the Auckland Education Board; A. F. Burton, teacher at Te rore 40 years ago; S. C. B. Macky, chairman of Waipa County Council; and A. Hanna, president of Te Awamutu Farmers’ Union.
