SIX PERSONS INJURED
SERVICE-CAR GOES OVER BANK VEHICLE BECOMES A WRECK Fro»i Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON. Sunday. A service-car driven by Mr. C. Cameron. of Rotorua, was travelling from Rotorua to Auckland last evening when it went over a bank at Karapiro. Cambridge, and six of the occupants were injure*. Those injured were: —Mr. George Smith, aged 21. Bright Street. Gisborne. concussion and shock: Mr. Albert A. Wyatt, aged 35, Takapau, right leg broken: Miss Jessie M. McLean, aged 21, Mount Eden: Mr. Ernest R. Bloomfield, aged 35, Devonport: Mr. Leslie J. H. Wright, aged about 22, law clerk, Auckland: and Mr. Campbell Cameron. service driver, Rotorua, bruises and shock. After turning a sharp bend on the road near the Public Works camp at Karapiro, the car fell over a bank and came to rest 35ft below the level of the road. Dr. J. A. Ritchie, of Cambridge, was summoned, and attended the sufferers. Messrs. Smith and Wyatt were conveyed by ambulance to the Waikato Hospital. The other passengers were not seriously injured, and after receiving medical attention were able to resume their journey. The service-car was wrecked.
