OPAWA PAYS OFF.—The coastal motor-ship Opawa, regularly engaged in the Blenheim-Wellington service, has laid up at Blexxheim for the winter months.

THE GOLDEN CROSS.—The O. and O. steamer Golden Cross is not returning to Auckland to load before returning to the Pacific Coast as was anticipated.

NARBADA SAILED.—The Union Company’s chartered Indian trader Narbada sailed for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin last night to complete unloadingcargo for Eastern ports.

WHALER FINISHES OVERHAUL.— The whaler Hanauui 11. has finished her annual overhaul and survey, and is to sail from here tomorrow morning for WThaugamumu, from which station she operates.

MAKURA FOR SAN FRA NCI SCO—The Royal Mail liner Makxira is due at Wellington from Sydney early on Monday morning to load cargo and mail and embark passengers from New Zealand. On Tuesday she is to resume her voyage to Rarotonga, Papeete and San Francisco.

MAUNGANUI LEAVES SYDNEY.— The Union Company’s intercolonial steamer Maunganui left Sydney for Auckland at four o’clock yesterday afternoon with passengers, mail and cargo. She is due on Tuesday morning and will berth at Queen’s Wharf.

MAHENO LEAVES MELBOURNE.— Cabled naws has been received by the Union Company that the Maheno left Melbourne at 10 a.m. on Thursday for Bluff and Dunedin.. TAHITI LEAVES SAN FRANCISCO.— The Royal Mail liner Tahiti left San Frandsco for Papeete, Rarotonga, Wellington and Sydney on Wednesday.
