CRICKET MATCH DRAWN AT LANCASHIRE AUSTRALIANS PLAY OUT TIME Reed. 10.40 a.m. LONDON, Friday. The cricket match between the Australian team and Lancashire ended tamely in a draw. Play today was confined to tout and a half hours. The last five Lancashire batsmen were dismissed for an additional 64 runs, and Australia had to make 22. in 160 minutes to win. The brightest incident of the day was R. Tyldesley’s 25 in as many minutes. He drove Grimmett to the boundary off four successive balls. Hornibrook bowled finely through-out and finished with very good figures. Australia made a sporting bid for victory, but Sibbles and Macdonald commanded their respect and the visitors’ chance of winning gradually £<l I ticiiardson. after hitting Hopwood for 6, put his leg In front of a straight ball. The match then degenerated into batting practice. Jackson was cautious and uninspiring, but Bradman was aggressive. The former went out the same way as in the first innings.
