Victor Seastrom stands alone in pictures as the sole director who has two complete scripts made for him. Seastrom speaks English perfectly, but he prefers to work his interpretative notes in his native Swedish. Therefore he uses both English and Swedish scripts at the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios.
