Trotting Limits That Clash
OWNERS and trainers in the Auckland area are bemoaning the fact that the final fixture of the club here will not be staged till toward the end of June. The gap between the last country meeting and the Epsom function is considered too late in the season.
-This argument recurs annually since the date of the alteration by the club from the autumn to the winter session. Taking a line through. the June fixtures that have so far been staged, those who favour the earlier holding of the carnival have the weight of the contention on their side of the scale, particularly when it comes to the preparation of competitors.
