INCREASED GRANT SOUGHT MINISTER SYMPATHETIC Press Association WELLINGTON, Tod.v, The Minister of Education, the Ho*. H. Atmore, save a very sympathetw hearing to a deputation from the Xow Zealand Conference of the W.EjL, asking for an Increased grant, and that the limitation of the Government subsidies on local body contributions to the work of the TV.K.A. be lifted. The high standard of achievement, and the growth of the classes, teas emphasised, as well as the call on tk« association to carry its activities in:, rural districts. Mr. Atmore stated that he recognised the reasonableness of the requests, and would do what t« could for the association.
