WORKERS’ HOUSES

SOME TENANTS RESTIVE CR. LUNDON IS ANGRY Purchasers and tenants of the municipal houses, Grey Lynn, are still writing to the City Council in regard to their dwellings. Four persons asked last evening for improvements to the houses, or that the council should take back the properties in the cases of hardship. When the letters had been read, Cr. J. R. Lundon protested angrily a gainst a motion by the Mayor, Mr. G Baildon, that the communications be referred tor a sub-committee, which is engaged in investigating. Cr. Lundon said hotly that the committee had not met since its first meeting, and that the matter had virtually been shelved. After heated exchanges had occurred, Crs. Lundon and A. J. Entrican figuring prominently, the council adopted the Mayor’s suggestion.
