Manukau v. Grammar

LEADERS MEET TOMORROW Keen Game Expected TWO good games are set down for decision at Eden Park tomorrow, when Grammar Old Boys and Manukau and Training College and Technical Old Boys will try conclusions on No. 1 ground. The Manukau-Grammar game, which will be played at 3 o’clock, promises a keen fight. So far neither team has been defeated. The Technical-Training College game, which is the curtain-raiser, will also be evenly, contested.

Tomorrow will be Manukau’s first appearance on Eden Park and the form of the West Coast team will be watched with interest. This season Manukau has shown improved form and its first three matches have been won fairly easily, but it has to be remembered that in its first three games Manukau was set fairly easy tasks. Against a solid Grammar pack and on a wet ground tomorrow, Manukau will find itself fully extended. ' If the Grammar team reproduces the form of the last three weeks it should go on its winning way.

Technical Old Bovs also has an unbeaten record to date, but it can expect a keen challenge from Training College tomorrow. It should be a very close game, with the odds slightly in favour of Technical Old Boys.

Also at Eden Park will be matches between University and College Rifles and City and Grafton. University and City should be the winners in these games.

At the Show Grounds Ponsonby should not have a great difficulty in defeating Marist. Polio wing are the teams:
