MORE TRAFFIC OFFICERS

Two temporary appointments of traffic inspectors in the City Traffic Department are to be made shortly. Mr. G. R. Hogan, chief traffic inspector, stated in a report, at last evening’s meeting of the City Council, that the ramifications of the department were becoming wider, and that, in present strength of the staff, it was difficult to fulfil requirements. Mr. Hogan added that, in the event of the council adopting automatic traffic signals, further appointments would, be inadvisable. t
