NOT FOR SCHOOL SITE
LAND AT TITIRANGI It was recommended by the Water Committee in a report at last evening’s meeting of the City Council that the Council not accede to the Auckland Education Board’s request that it should dispose of four acres of waterworks property at Titirangi for the purposes of a school site. The reason for refusal of the request was that the land was vested in the council on the condition that, failing its use for water supply purposes, it should be used for recreational purposes only. The committee’s recommendation was followed by the council.
