Solgele harl won 10 races, and been in a place a score of times, yet was eligible for a novice plate at Amberley, a race which he had already won three times. It certainly looks ridiculous that a horse who was ineligible for hack company should be a starter in a novice event. This time the best he could do was to finish third.
