FIRST COUNCIL ELECTED

ONE TREE HILL BOROUGH The poll for the election of members of the first One Tree Hill Borough Council was held on Wednesday, and out of the seven candidates for the six vacancies the following were successful: —W. G. Mulholland, 439 votes; Iv. W. Aimer, 437; C. L. Slyfield, 423; F. J. Goldstine, 421; R. G. Clark, 386; and W. I. Hancock, 343. Only four members of the late road board, Messrs. Clark, Goldstine, Mulholland and Slyfield, sought re-elec-tion and all were successful. About 30 per cent, of the electors showed active, interest in the election, 576 votes being cast out of a possible 1.960.
