GROWER FINED £3 “It was one of the worst cases I have ever seen,” said an inspector of ths Department of Agriculture, at the Police Court this morning, referring to unfair packing of tomatoes by Ivan Nola. Pleading guilty, Xola was fined JC 3 and costs. The inspector said he had been inspecting tomatoes at the City Markets on April 29 when he came across the case that led to the charge. There were good tomatoes in the top and bottom layers but inferior fruit in the middle. Defendant was not in a big w a y.
