WAIPUKURAU CRITICISES GOVERNMENT Press Association WAIPUKURAU, Today. At a well-attended meeting of the Waipukurau Chamber of Commerce last evening the following resolution was carried unanimously: “That, being of the opinion that the present defence forces of the Dominion are not larger than is reasonably essential and that the costs are not a serious burden upon the people by comparison with the possible price of unpreparedness, the chamber regrets that by discontinuing the training camps this year the Government has given encouragement to the anti-mili-tary training advocates and the socalled pacifists. “Further, it is desired to record the view that for physical, disciplinary and patriotic reasons the yeuth of the Dominion is bettered by service in the Territorial forces, a brief period of concentrated training each year being highly desirable,’-
