Stock auctioneers report on sales held throughout the district during the past week as follow:

Alfred Buckland and Sons, Ltd. — During the week we had sales at West field, Turua, Wellsford, Tuakau, and Pukekohe. Dairy cows and heifers continue in demand, with little change in values, other classes of cattle selling on a par with late sales. Best dairy cows and heifers at profit realised £l2 10s to £l6 5&; good, £lO 5s to £l2; other cows and heifers, £5 10s to £10; boner store cows, £1 10s to £4 15s; empty young cows and heifers, £3 to £5 2s 6d; fat cows and heifers,. £5 5s to £9 7s 6d; fat steers, £9 15s to £l3 ss; three to four-year-old steers, £8 5s to £9 15s; two to three-year steers, £6 15s to £S: yearling to 18-months, £4 5s to £6 ss; 18-months to two-year dairy heifers in calf, £5 15s to £lO 10s; other heifers, £3 5s to £ 5 10s; a line of 246 mixed weaners sold at Tuakau on account of Mr. L. L. Allen averaged £4; cows with calves, £5 15s to £9 ss; bulls, £3 10s to £7 ss. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd.—Sales were held during the week at Westfield and Warkworth, and one clearing sale at East Tama-ki on account of Mr. N. W. Gillard. Choice dairy cows and heifers close to profit are selling readily at from £l2 10s to £18; other cows and heifers, close to profit, £8 10s to £l2;. backward, springers, £6 to £10; aged cows and inferior heifers, £3 10s to* £5 15s;. all classes of store cattle-are-selling at late rates; boner and store cows, £2.10s to £5 10s; bulls, £ 3 to £9, according to weight; weaner heifer calves, £1 10s to £4 15s; weaner steer calves, £2 to £4 2s 6d; yearling to 18-months heifers, £3 iOs to £6 10s; yearling to 18-months steers, £4 5s to £5 15s; two to 2£-year steers, £6 to £6 15s; three to 34-year steers. £7 to £S 10s; grown steers in forward condition, £8 15s to £9 10s. Mr. N. W. Gillard’s clearing sale was a most successful one, a large attendance of buyers from all surrounding districts being present.
