LURE OF SOUTH SEAS

CHICAGO TOURISTS TO CRUISE An Auckland firm of shipping agents is making arrangements for a party of wealthy Chicago tourists to cruise round the South Sea Islands. The firm has been instructed to charter a yacht or small steamer, and efforts are being made to secure a vessel of the Hinemoa type, failing which negotiations will be entered into for the use of one of Auckland’s motor-yachts of suitable size and appointments. It is anticipated that the cruise which will start from Suva, will be made early, in October. It will take about 30 days. The tourists will number from six to eight men. whose wives will be travelling on the Matson liner Maiolo on her Pacific cruise. The party will join tin Maiolo at Sydney some time in December.
