Fenton, is here to interview the Canadian Government | with a view to laying the foundations of a trade agreement which is to prove acceptable and beneficial to all concerned. He was a luncheon guest on Tuesday of the Governor-General and Vis-! countess Willingdon at Rideau Hall, j where he met the Minister of Trade j and Commerce. Mr. James Malcolm. “We met and had a chat, and are ! to meet again. I told Mr. Malcolm we Australians did not consider Can- 1 ada purchased a sufficiently large part of its imports from us,” he said. “I am very hopeful that the Imperial Economic Conferences in London will, settle a lot of things. Why cannot we ' members of the Commonwealth of British Nations get together for the \ mutual benefit of all?”
