depression THROWS 20,000 OUT LAST MONTH DISTRESS INCREASING TOKYO, Tuesday. The business depression in Japan is becoming l alarmingly worse. In April factories at Tokyo were closed, pausing 20,000 workmen to join the bttge army of unemployed. No alleviation of the situation is in sight. Fearing trouble, the police h ive prohibited a mass meeting called by proletarians for tomorrow.
