RAINBOW BATHROOMS

INVASION OF COLOUR Baths of horizon blue, old ivory, spring green, lavender, pink, pearlgrey, canary and black now fall in line with the colour invasion which has swept the home. Colour has inundated the floors of the bathroom, crept up the walls and spilled over the bath itself, and it is now possible to obtain bathroom furniture, fixtures, and accessories in such a wide range of colour that a room nfay be created both practical and satisfying, imbued with the "taste and personality of the owner. Not the least part are the fittings that accompany this coloured ware, the taps and other necessary metal parts which may also become decorative features. These are to be had in gold, silver, and chromium plate, far more desirable than any colour, since they serve only to enhance the colours which they accompany. Meticulous care should be devoted to the selection of the more incidental details of the bathroom, and the least gleam of colour should be included, from the stripes of the bath towel to the stopper of the very last bottle. Ail sorts of fascinating towels are to be had, some with gay and pictorial designs, others with attractive stripes and bands. Floral designs in several colours on chenille borders of white, combined with plain delicate colour in the bath towel proper, are very pretty. There are face towels in solid colours, of exquisitely beautiful damask, whose texture is enhanced by their simplicity of design. Even the bath sponge takes on colour, and for the punctilious they are to be had in rose, lavender, green and blue. There are bathroom sets in colour which include, besides a mat, a rather large-sized rug, a stool, and a shower-bath curtain.
