HANDICAPPING SYSTEM
fjpHE much-discussed question of handicapping is still causing some concern to the light-harness authorities, due to the many anomalies arising as a result of the new system. The trouble has been created mainly through the inability of some Southern adjusters to grasp the proper interpretation of the scheme. When the Trotting Association met last week in Dunedin, the Canterbury Owners’ and Breeders’ Association deputationised on the subject, and the board decided to meet again on Thursday to review the position, pending a revision of the whole question again when conference meets in July.
