Taranaki Oil Fields, Ltd., announce that Mr. Colin Fraser, managingdirector of the company, left Melbourne yesterday for New Zealand, where he will confer with the company’s technical staff upon the field situation. The report adds that the recent culmination of the lengthy geological investigations of certain areas has thrown a new light upon them and increased their attractiveness and warranted the directors deferring the selection of a drilling site pending the investigation of the comparative merits of the areas concerned. During Mr. Fraser’s stay in the Dominion the whole of the relevant geological data will be reviewed and s scheme of field activity formulated based upon the latest geological (studies and conclusions. The board will, as early as is practicable, an- _ nounee its drilling programme.
