demand firm—prices up Reed. 10.40 a.m. LONDON, Tuesday. At the wool sales 10,788 bales were offered, Including 3,825 from New Zealand. Approximately 6,647 were sold, including a miscellaneous selection of Merinos with many inferiors and a sood average offering of New Zealand crossbreds. There was a crowded attendance from all centres, a strong and conflde nt spirit with extremely brisk competition from both the Continent and Yorkshire. Merino greasy combings met with a strong demand at 10 per cent, above the March closing rates. Best scoureds were 10 per cent, above, faulties 5 per cen U and all greasies were fully 10 per cent, up; scoureds, -7 k to 10 per cent., slipes 7\ per cent.
