OLD HOTEL BURNED

FIRE AT KINGSTON LICENSEE’S HEAVY LOSS Press Association INVERCARGILL, Monday. A report was received this evening that the hotel at Kingston, on Lake Wakatipu, was destroyed by fire this morning. The licensee was Mrs. Ethel Ella Thomson, and the owner, Mr. John Butson, a farmer, near Lumsden. The building was a very old one, and was insured for £I,OOO. It is believed that the stock and furniture were also covered by insurance, but the licensee will be a heavy loser.
