INCREASE IN REVENUE BOARD MEETING TODAY Though there was no increase in Auckland shipping for the- month of April, there was an increase of £2,313 in cash receipts over the figures for April, 1929. .This was reported at today’s meeting of the Auckland Harbour Boayd. The cash receipts for April, 1930, amounted to £36,658, showing an increase of £12,641 for the seven months, as compared with the corresponding month last* year. At the Manukau the receipts for April, 1930. amounted to £4Bl, showing a decrease of £137, and a decrease of £ 852 over a period of seven months. During April the arrivals at the port of Auckland consisted of two British warships, one Government vessel, two Royal Mail steamers, 19 British, two Norwegian, and one American oversea vessels; eight intercolonial and 27 coastal vessels: together with 494 local coastal vessels’ returns show' a deof 556 vessels of 332,046 gross tons, and 1,733 net tons. As compared with the corresponding period for last year, the large merchant shipping shows the same number of vessels, with an increase in the gross tonnage of 2,906 tons, and a decrease of 2,825 net tons. The local coastal vessel’s returns show a decrease of 52 vessels, of 2,997 gross tons, and 1.733 net tons. At Onehunga the arrivals consisted of 25 vessels, with an aggregate of 11,063 gross tons, and 5,135 net tons. Compared with last year, this shows a decrease of 2,140 gross tons, and 803 net tons. The departures consisted of 24 vessels, with an aggregate of 10,360 gross tons, and 4,824 net tons. Compared with last year, this shows u decrease of 2,672 gross tons, and 1,038 net tons.
