ELSIE LINCOLN BENEDICT

LECTURES BEGIN TOMORROW Elsie Lincoln Benedict, of international reputation as a platform speaker and who is said to have the largest following of any living lecturer, will open a series of free public lectures tomorrow evening at the Town Hall concert chamber. Every normal person, according to Mrs. Benedict, actually uses only about one-tenth of his real capacities, and has it in him to accomplish almost miraculous results through his own personality, ego and energy. “Leading thinkers in the field of the human sciences declare that if anyone fails to get what he wants most out of life, the cause usually is to be found within himself,” Mrs. Benedict said recently. “People bring to themselves the very things they dread and dislike because they do not understand the laws that operate through all human relationships. The schools, churches and colleges urge us to make our lives great and happy, but unfortunately do not show us how to do so. “The International Opportunity League aspires to meet this great need by furnishing to all ambitious men and women everywhere the most up-to-date, practical application of modern discoveries to their individual aims and needs —mental, physical, financial and cultural.” Mrs. Benedict declares that she is not a preacher, but a teacher, and that her methods are used today the world over by business men, doctors, lawyers, ministers, salesmen, social leaders, husbands, wives, parents, teachers and others for the betterment of their health, finances, professional progress and the enrichment of their entire lives. She is known not only as a lecturer but as the author of many popular books on self-adjustment and selfadvancement. Her lectures at the Town Hall are free to the public.
