LOVELY VEIL OF BRUSSELS LACE
MAIDS WEAR DISTINCTIVE GOWNS OF ORANGE MOIRE DENIZE—JOSEPHS On Wednesday evening, at St. David's Presbyterian Church, Khyber Pass, the marriage was celebrated of Bessie Florence, second daughter of Mr. and M>s. _C. Josephs, of Grove Road, Sandringham, and Ivan Laurence, only son of Mr. and Mr®. A. O. Denize, of Kowhai Street, Mount Albert. The Rev. D. C. Herron performed the ceremony, and Mr. Craston was at the organ. The church was decorated for the occasion by friends of the bride with orange l iceland poppies and chrysanthemums. Given away by her father, the bride wore a charming gown of deep cream embossed chiffon. She wore a handsome veil of brussels lace and carried a sheaf of cream dahlias and rose buds. Miss Connie Josephs, sister of the bride, and Miss Joan* Denize, cousin of the bridegroom, attended the bride, wearing frocks in replica of orange moire velvet with full ankle-length skirts. They wore felt hats to tone and carried posies of deep red chrysanthemums. Little Laurel Noble, niece of the bride, was flower girl, wearing an orange frilled georgette frock. Her head-dress was a circlet of flowers and she, carried a posy to tone. Mr. Raymond G. Denize was best man and Mr. Colin Campbell was groomsman. A reception was held later at the Mount. Eden Tea Kiosk, where Mrs. Josephs received the guests in a frock of wine figured velvet with a felt hat to match. She carried a posy of dark red dahlias. Mrs. Denize chose a brown and wine embossed georgette frock. She wore a brown felt hat and fox furs. Her posy was of autumn shades.
