STRAND THEATRE Maurice Chevalier has the leading part in "The Love Parade,” which is now' at the Strand Theatre, Onehunga. Cast as a dashing ambassador with numerous love affairs in Paris, Chevalier is recalled to Sylvania. On his return he succeeds in winning the affections of his queen and becomes the prince consort. He tires of his role, however, and his marriage to the queen threatens to end in divorce, until he is accepted as king. Jeanette MacDonald is cast as the queen, and reveals an excellent pinging voice. FORESTERS’ HALL The new film programme to be presented at the Foresters’ Hall this evening will be headed by the exciting film, "Stand and Deliver,” which stars Rod La Roque.
