COLLIE CLUB TRIALS
EVENTS AT TE KUITI From Our Own Correspondent TE KUITI, Today. The three-day trials of the Te Kuiti Collie Club were concluded yesterday. Ideal weather favoured the meeting, which was held on Mr. Walker’s property. Mr. A_ Bellamy, of Paeroa, acted as judge and in commenting on the trials said he hoped that next year more of the younger men would enter. The work witnessed compared favourably with that of the previous trials, though on the whole the finishes showed some weakness. Additional results were as follow: Maltese Cross.—P. McNaughton’s (Morrlnsville) Kep, 43 points, 1; H. J. Ritchie’s (Matiere) Lassie, 45 points. 2; C. Cameron’s (Morritisville) Peggy. 43 points, 3. Huntaway.—Gordpn Revell’s (Te Kuiti) Mack. 39 points, 1; H. Voyce’s (Mairoa) Mack, 37 points, 2. Short Head and Drive.—lrwin Hunt’s (Te Kuiti) Spark, time 8m 3s, 39 points, 1; H. Voyce’s (Mairoa) Bay, time 9m 3s, 2. Special prizes were won by the following:—Voyce Cup, EL J. Ritchie: Kennedy Cup, R. Hill; Auctioneers’ Cup. G. Smart; £>. Neale’s cup, H. Voyce; Blyth Harper trophy, H. Voyce; Lavington Cup. G. Re veil; Albrechtsen Cup, W. D. Clifford (Morrinsvile).
